Labour Hits Out At Deal To Name and Shame Welfare Frauds

Labour has hit out at the deal between Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil over the naming and shaming of welfare frauds.

It’s after it emerged that the new rules will be more draconian than the similar system of naming tax defaulters.

Welfare frauds will be named if they have received more than 5,000 euro – but tax cheats are not named unless they exceed 30,000 euro.
