Labasheenda Resident Fears Poor State Of Road Will Force Her Out Of Her Home

A Labasheeda resident fears she'll be forced to leave her home if repair works are not carried out on a road in the area.

Lourda Bermingham moved into her house around 10 years and during that time the road has become pot-holed and water-logged to the point where they are fearful of letting their children onto it.

Lourda says she has contacted the council on numerous occasions in an attempt to secure funding for repairs but to no avail and local residents have been forced to try and maintain the route themselves.

She believes that as tax-payers and contributors to the local community, they're entitled to better basic services.
