Irish naval vessel the LE Niamh has rescued another 225 people off the Libyan coast.
The operation began last night when the ship was tasked to help those on board two inflatable vessels in distress.
107 migrants were taken on board from one craft and a further 118 from a second vessel.
The operation was successfully completed at 5 am.
139 men, 74 women and 12 children are receiving water, food and medical assistance, where required.
