West Clare will host the ‘From Conflict to Conversation’ workshop today, which aids parents and caregivers to develop alternative skills for conflict resolution.
The second in the series of talks will take place this evening in Kilrush Community Centre at 7pm.

It centres on the use of ‘restorative practice’ by parents rather than traditional disciplinary measures, by having in depth conversations about solutions to issues.
Speaking on Clare FM’s Morning Focus, Restoration practice expert, Joe Power, says encouraging someone to reflect on their behaviour can often result in a more practical resolution.
