Kilrush RNLI Volunteers Receive Commendations for Saving Three Lives During Daring Rescue

Five Kilrush RNLI volunteers have received meritorious awards for their part in a rescue that saved the lives of three people.

Helmsman Tom Blunnie was awarded the Chairman’s Letter of Thanks while crew members Ian Lynch, Charlie Glynn, Ger Keane, and Fintan Keating received commendations from the RNLI.

The crew saved three people caught in storm force conditions in the Shannon Estuary near Carrigaholt in 2020.
