Kilrush RNLI Urging People To ‘Float To Live’ If In Trouble In Winter Water

People are being reminded to ‘Float To Live’ if they are in trouble in the water.

Figures from the RNLI have shown that 55% of who people died at the coast in recent years ended up in the water unexpectedly.

The Lifeboat institute is reaffirming their message of caution, being prepared and to ‘buddy up’ or inform someone where you are going.

Kilrush RNLI Volunteer Lifeboat Press Officer, Charlie Glynn, has this advice for dealing with cold water shock.
