Kilrush RNLI launched a mission this morning to assist a yacht that broke its mooring at Tarbert Co Kerry.
Valentia Coastguard requested assistance with the yacht drifting across the busy shipping channel on the Shannon Estuary.

The volunteer lifeboat crew from Kilrush located the vessel near Killimer jetty just after 9.30am and towed it back across the estuary to Tarbert where it was safely secured.
