A Kilrush man is due to be sentenced later today for drug dealing after he and two others were caught in an undercover garda operation, compared in court to a scene form the Love/Hate TV Series.
32 year old Martin O’Brien pleaded guilty before the District Court in Kilrush to selling heroin on three occasions earlier this year, two of them in the car-park of the local Tesco.
Mr O’Brien, of the Bungalow, Wood Road in Kilrush, was addicted to heroin himself at the time of the offences but the court was told he’s now clean and is currently serving a jail term in prison for a seperate offence.
Yesterday, his wife Valerie Power received the probation act for dealing heroin in Kilrush, while 24 year old Student Sean McMahon, of Nagles Terrace, Kilrush was given a six month suspended sentence for selling herbal cannabis.
