Rosie Foley set of from Dover just before 8 o'clock on Saturday morning, and arrived at a beach in France nearly sixteen hours later.
The swim was 22 miles in length, slightly shorter than the length of Lough Derg which she swam just a few eeks ago.
However, Foley, who is a sister of Munster coach Anthony and a former Irish rugby international in her own right, says this was a very different challenge.
