The Diocese of Killaloe has advocated a NO vote in the forthcoming same sex marriage referendum.

Diocesan spokesman Fr. Brendan Qunilivan has spoken in favour of the church's position, which has argued that re-defining marriage would "undermine it as the fundamental building block of our society."
Fr. Quinlivan insists the church is not instructing people how to vote, and he has urged people to read the literature of both sides before making up their own minds.
However, he has called for a no vote on May 22nd.
