The manager of Kilkee Waterworld has confirmed that flood damage there does not appear to be as serious as was first feared.
Access to the facility was impossible for a time yesterday, after a band of heavy rain led to flash flooding which submerged the section of road in front of it at East End.
Clare County Council has confirmed the damage to the town’s infrastructure is minimal, while Kilkee Water World will be able to open for the tourism season as if planned, following a thorough clean-up.
