A Kilkee businessman fears his guesthouse will remain closed over the Christmas period due to storm works in the coastal town.

The 19th century seawall was badly damaged during storm weather over the past two years and the second phase of reconstruction works has gotten underway in the past number of days.
The work is due to be completed around March.
