Kilkee Aims To Go Plastic-Free To Protect The Environment

Kilkee could become the first town in Ireland to go plastic-free in a bid to protect the environment.

The past two months have seen opportunities assessed within businesses in the town to reduce the sale of single use plastics.

Kilkee Chamber of Commerce has negotiated a number of partnerships with companies for reusable coffee cups and water bottles, as well as to provide compostable replacements for items such as takeaway containers and plastic bags.
