Residents of Kilbaha have expressed anger at Clare County Council's decision to close access to traffic for the main road in the West Clare seaside village.

The route was badly damaged in the recent storms, but had been re-opened by locals who themselves had carried out works to open up access.
However, the Council says it has been forced to close the route, which was one of the worst-hit the storms of the past few weeks, because of health and safety concerns.
There had been a stand-off earler involving around 15 residents, but this has now ended.
