Clare’s Fianna Fáil Senator says a number of key questions will need to be answered at the two Oireachtas Committees later.
The Public Accounts Committee and the Media Committee will seek answers on hidden payments made to Ryan Tubridy which kicked off three weeks of controversy at RTÉ.
Tubridy will be asked why he sought extra money through a sponsorship deal when the rest of the top ten earners were taking pay cuts, why he didn’t notice his publicly disclosed salary was wrong, and what the story was with 120,000 euro worth of payments made prior to 2020.
His agent Noel Kelly will also be quizzed about his status and influence as agent to the stars.
Mountshannon Senator Timmy Dooley will be at the Oireachtas Media Committee today, and he says answers are needed in the Renault deal in particular.
