US Secretary of State John Kerry is meeting with foreign ministers from the Arab League in Paris this afternoon as America continues a diplomatic offensive to win backing for military strikes in Syria.
Later he’ll head to London before returning to Washington where the US Congress returns from its summer break tomorrow to consider President Barack Obama’s proposals.
It’s reported the Pentagon is now preparing for a longer operation then previously thought.
The Los Angeles Times is reporting that the US military will carry out three days of missile strikes against 50 Syrian government targets.
