Kenny’s Trump invitation meets with criticism

Enda Kenny’s invitation to Donald Trump to visit Ireland has been met with criticism.

A number of political parties have expressed opposition after the Taoiseach formally invited the US President during their Oval Office meeting yesterday.

The Social Democrats, Green Party, People Before Profit and Solidarity all say they expect widespread protests if Mr Trump does follow through with an official visit during his time in office.
