Kenny Vows To Keep Up Pressure On U.S. Immigration Reform

The Taoiseach says Ireland will be heavily involved in lobbying for reform of the American immigration system.

Enda Kenny made the pledge at the St Patrick’s Day reception at the White House last night.

The Taoiseach presented the President with a bowl of shamrock, inscribed with lines of W.B. Yeats poetry.

And he said Ireland would be a vocal supporter of any change to allow illegal Irish immigrants to gain greater protection.
