The Minister for Justice says public representatives have an even greater obligation to obey the law.

Frances Fitzgerald made the comments after TDs Mick Wallace and Clare Daly were arrested and jailed briefly yesterday for failing to pay a court fine.
The pair were fined for taking part in a protest over the use of Shannon Airport by the US military.
Minister Fitzgerald says the justice system treats politicians the same as everyone else.
