A government audit of unfinished housing estates has found there is now just one fully unoccupied development in Clare.
Four other estates here are described as ‘unfinished’, but some homes there are occupied.

The total number of unfinished developments here has halved in the past year from 10 to 5 – by comparison, that figure stood at 33 in 2013.
The survey found 12 vacant units here, out of a nationwide total of just under 1,100 and also highlighted efforts to finish the Aisling estate in Ennis which saw 23 homes finished, and are now being used as social housing.
