Just one Clare drink driving arrest over Bank Holiday

Clare Gardaí  have recorded a significant fall in drink driving over the bank holiday weekend.

Nearly 70 checkpoints were set up throughout the county’s roads but  only one person was found to be driving over the blood alcohol limit.

The figure marks a significant reduction on last year’s figure of six, a move broadly welcomed by Clare Gardaí
