Just four jobs were offered to the over 1,500 people in County Clare as a result of the ‘Be On Call For Ireland’ campaign that was rolled out at the beginning of the pandemic.
The HSE asked those in the healthcare profession not working in the public service to register their interest for redeployment at the onset of COVID-19 in Ireland.
In the Midwest, more than 7,000 people signed up, and only 73 were recruited – just four of these applicants were from County Clare.
