Calls for increased investment in home help have been made over recent weeks, since it emerged that waiting lists here are much longer than in Limerick or North Tipperary.

Speaking on this program, Minister Kathleen Lynch has also revealed that measures to curb waiting lists for the Fair Deal scheme have kicked into gear this week with three million euro coming on stream.

The Labour representative told Clare FM's Morning Focus this will help, but she admits more is needed.
