The number of people signing on in the Mid-West grew last month.

New figures from the CSO show over 300,000 people across the country claimed some form of unemploymet benefit in July, a decrease of 1.7 per cent.
But an additional 318 people joined the dole queues in Clare, Lmerick and North Tipperary, bringing the total number of people in the live register in THIS region closer to 27,000.
That's still 3,600 less than at the same point last year.
The figures also show that more women nationally left the register last month.
