However, a much larger increase was recorded in North Clare, with falls in the rest of the county.
7,332 people were signing on the live register here at the end of October, a monthly rise of 23 throughout Co. Clare.
However, North Clare has accounted for all of this increase, with dole queues there increasing by 93 people during the month.
Elsewhere, falls of 44 were recorded in Ennis, as well as 22 in East Clare, and 4 in the West of the county.
The latest CSO figures show that the total number of people signing on is down by 9.1% on the same time last year.
