The Jobs Minister has welcomed new figures which show that the number of people at work is now at its highest level in six years.

According to the Central Statistics Office; the rate of unemployment has fallen from 10 per cent in the first three months of 2015 – to 9-point-6 per cent in the Second Quarter.
It’s the twelfth quarter in a row in which the annual jobless rate has fallen – with most of the new jobs coming in the construction and financial sectors.
