East Clare is set for a jobs boost as a US bio-medical firm lodges plans for an expansion to accommodate an additional 105 staff.
Beckman Coulter already employs 315 staff at its facility near Tulla.
Plans lodged with Clare Co Council confirm that the company is seeking to increase the capacity of its current operations.
The company or the IDA has yet to officially announce the new jobs, but in the planning documentation, the company states the 105 positions will be provided by 2020.
The plan is to commence the of production urine sample testing strips late next year while its current operations will also be expanded.
Beckman Coulter's plans to expand its Clare operations comes less than two years after it announced plans to close its facility in Galway, with the loss of 140 jobs.
