Jobs boost for Clare

 

Clare is one of seven counties set to benefit from the creation of over 400 jobs in 24 new start up companies.

As part of Enterprise Ireland’s High Potential Start Up Programme up to a dozen positions will be generated in Clare at online company Askmoby.com.

A total of 445 jobs are to come on stream over the next two to three years under this programme which has been supported by the Government through Enterprise Ireland.

The companies recruiting are involved in clean technology, life sciences and financial services, as well as information and communications technology.

The bulk of the positions – over 200 will come on stream in Dublin with the remainder being created in Clare, Wicklow, Waterford, Offaly, Cork and Kildare.

In Clare – the start up company concerned is Askmoby.com which is a consumer weather service which delivers highly personalised weather applications to consumers and partners over all online channels include websites and smartphone applications.

Ten new jobs will be created by the firm which are expected to be based in Ennis and also in Dublin.
