Officials at University of Limerick say they’re hopeful extra jobs will be created as a spin-off from a major new research centre that is officially being launched by An Taoiseach today.

150 jobs will come on board during construction, as well as a further 75 research and teaching positions when ‘The Bernal Project’ opens on the Clare side of UL in 2015.
It aims to significantly improve Ireland’s expertise in the areas of Pharmaceutical, Biomedical and Energy Research and Development.
