Clare is to receive a jobs boost, following an announcement by McDonald’s of 800 new jobs at its restaurants across the country.
The fast food chain, which has two outlets in Shannon and Ennis, is expanding its Irish workforce to almost 6,000 employees.

The new roles will be in 19 counties, including in Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and Galway.
The positions are being announced in anticipation of increased capacity in the coming months, in line with the easing of Government restrictions and public health guidelines.
Danny McCoy, CEO of Ibec, says the announcement demonstrates McDonald’s continued commitment to Ireland.
