A transatlantic jet has diverted to Shannon Airport in the past hour.

The Aeromexico jet was travelling from Mexico City to Charle de Gaulle Airport in Paris, and declared an emergency just after 2:25.
It's understood that there are indications of a fire in the cargo bay of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.
An ermergency plan has been put into operation, which sees four units of the fire service on the ground at Shannon, with two more placed on standby in a holding location.
The plane has landed safely in the past ten minutes.
