New figures from Met Eireann confirm just how mild the last month has been in Clare.
Overall, January was sunnier and warmer than normal, althoguh it was only slightly drier than is usually the case at Met Eireann’s Shannon Airport weather station.
The month’s highest temperature, of 12.9 degrees, was recorded there while Clare also experienced the sunniest day of the month on the 19th.
