Irish Woman Says Greek Earthquake Was Deafening

An Irish woman caught up in last night’s powerful earthquake in the Aegean sea says the noise was deafening.

Two tourists were killed on the Greek island of Kos and hundreds injured across the
region, including several people in neighbouring Turkey.

It’s not believed that any Irish people were injured, but embassy staff say they’re monitoring the situation.
