A 57-year-old Irishwoman is among three people rescued by police in London investigating domestic slavery.
Two other women – a 69-year-old from Malaysia and a British woman aged 30 – were also discovered.
A man and a woman – both aged in their 60’s – have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The plight of these women came to light after a TV documentary on slavery and domestic servitude was aired in the UK.
Police say it appears they were held against their will for over 30 years – in a house in South London.
Police say the womem are now being cared for in a place of safety.
Officers from the London Metropolitan Human Trafficking Unit – arrested a man and a woman – both aged 67 – this morning.
