Irish Rail Rejects Disabilities Claims

Irish Rail says it has received no complaints of passengers with disabilities being carried onto rail-replacement buses, currently running from Ennis.

That's despite the claims of local representatives and disability rights campaigners, who have said that people's privacy was being invaded.

They had also called for a lift to be installed allowing easier access to the second rail platform in Ennis.  

Irish Rail says this would be desirable, but it is not part of any current investment plan.
