Irish Rail Planning To Expand Capacity Of Ennis To Limerick Service

Irish Rail is set to conduct a feasibility study aimed at enhancing the capacity of the Ennis to Limerick Colbert service.

Responding to a parliamentary question from Clare Independent TD Michael McNamara on the matter, the company confirmed its intention to invest €300,000 in the project later this year and a further €400,000 in 2024.

The funding will enable a design process that will examine the possibility of increasing the daily services connecting the county town to Limerick.

Irish Rail Corporate Communications Manager, Barry Kenny says they are fully committed to bringing the plans to fruition.
