Police in the UK say they’ve received an overwhelming response to the appeal on the disappearance of Madeline McCann broadcast last night.

Detectives say she could have been taken in a pre-planned abduction – or it may be linked to a rise in burglaries and bogus charity collections in Praia da Luz in 2007.
It’s understood officers are looking for a man who has been identified by an Irish couple.
Senior lecturer in forensics at Manchester University in the UK, Mike Berry, says the investigation faces an uphill battle in trying to find her.
