An Irish-born scientist is among those who've been awarded the Nobel Prize in medicine for 2015.

William C. Campbell and two colleagues from Japan and China have been honoured for their work helping doctors fighting malaria and illnesses linked to roundworm.
It's the first Nobel prize announced this year.
