The Government has announced plans to make Ireland tobacco free by 2025.

Smoking won’t be illegal – but it’s hoped smoking rates will be reduced from 22 per cent to just five per cent.
Under the plan, smoking will be banned in cars and in many public areas like playgrounds, creche’s and college campuses, plain packaging will be introduced and there will be further price increases on the price of cigarettes and tobacco.
