One of Clare’s representatives in European Parliament is calling for the ongoing rise in energy prices to be tackled as an urgent social and economic priority.
According to EirGrid, 40% of all Ireland’s electricity was produced by renewable energy in October.

It’s understood that during the month, the day with the highest renewable energy production saw prices nearly €90 lower when compared to the day with the greatest reliance on fossil fuels.
