Ireland South MEP Calls On Government Not To Be Too Cautious With Reopening

An MEP for this constituency is calling on the government not to be too cautious when it considers the lifting of restrictions throughout the summer tomorrow.

It comes as MEPs will today vote on Digital Green Certificates, which would act as proof a person has had a Covid-19 vaccine, a negative test result or recovered from the virus.

The so-called ‘Covid-passport’ would allow the free movement of people within the EU and could be implemented as soon as July.
