Investigations are underway into the death of a man in Sixmilebridge following a workplace accident near his home.
The 54 year old mechanic was working under a car in his garage at Corlea, Sixmilebridge when it’s understood the vehicle collapsed, trapping him underneath.

Emergency services were called by the man’s wife, but the father of four was pronounced dead at the scene earlier this morning.
His body has now been removed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick for a post-mortem and two seperate investigations are underway.
