Gardai and the Health and Safety Authority have launched two separate investigations following the death of a man at a garage in Co Tipperary last night.

The man – named locally as 66 year old John Ahern – was killed when the cab of a truck fell on him as he was working underneath it at half past 8 last night in Ballymackeogh, Newport.
A post mortem exam will be carried out at University Hospital Limerick today.
