Just after 12 o’clock on Friday afternoon, a man was sitting on a bench at Ballyalla when he was approached by two men, one of whom hit him on the leg with a hurley.
They eventually made off with a number of items, including a laptop.
Then, in the early hours of Sunday morning, a group of four youths approached a man on Parnell Street, knocked him to the ground in Barrett’s Lane beside Considine’s Pub and stole a sum of money from his wallet.
