The prison service and Gardaí are carrying out separate investigations into a disturbance involving up 60 prisoners at Cloverhill Prison yesterday.

One inmate was seriously injured after a number of prisoners refused to return to their cells after exercising and two prisoners climbed onto the roof.
15 prisoners were subsequently removed from the yard.
Five ambulances were seen leaving Cloverhill after the incident.
