Investigations continue into Quin Fire

 

The scene of a suspected arson attack at a business premises in Quin remains sealed off by gardaí  this morning.

Quin meats, which comprises of a butchers shop and an adjoining home was badly damaged by the blaze in the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday.

Fire officers found one room alight and its believed an accelerant may have been used.

Gardaí are investigating a possible link between this fire and several other similar incidents at the premises in the past ten month.

The businesses is owned Hector and Mona Cassley who were away at the time of the blaze

The Cassleys who moved to Quin from Antrim in the 80’s tragically lost their only son James, in a plane crash in the Congo in June 2010.
