Investigations Continue Into Australian Bushfires

Authorities in Australia are continuing to investigate whether the military may have started the recent bushfires, which have destroyed hundreds of homes.

Up to 300 homes have been seriously damaged and destroyed in the crisis.

Around 85 fires are still burning across New South Wales – with 20 remaining uncontained.

The blazes have so far burned through around 30 thousand hectares of land.

The Australian Defence Force says its personnel were carrying out explosive ordnance training in the area, the day the fire started and they are now investigating if the two events are linked.
