Investigations Continue To Establish Identity Of Body Washed Up On Clare Coast

DNA testing is being carried out as part of efforts to establish the identity of a body which washed up on the North Clare coast.

Emergency services were alerted yesterday afternoon by walkers who discovered the body on rocks near Fanore.

The body has since been transferred to Univeristy Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination and the missing persons data base is being examined.
