An investigation is being carried out by Clare’s County Dog warden into a dog attack in West Clare in the past week.
A woman was walking her dog, which was secured by both a harness and a lead, when an uncontrolled Rottweiler reportedly lunged and attacked them.

The incident led to the woman herself falling, though she escaped any serous injury.
Clare County Dog Warden, Frankie Coote says they’re receiving multiple reports of such attacks on a weekly basis throughout the county, despite efforts to put a stop to uncontrolled dogs on the loose.
