An investigation is underway into an ‘apparent’ stabbing in Limerick last night.
The man, who is in his late 30s, was socialising at a pub in Thomondgate at around a quarter to nine when he received the injuries during an altercation – a second man was also injured.

Meanwhile – in a separate incident – a man who was stabbed in the head in the city on Monday, remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
